CAM CHAT number 13 July 2000 Whatever next, the quarterly CamChat just went bi-monthly, actually Ive just published it a little early so that I can remind you all about what is happening in the next couple of months. This time producing a CamChat is definitely a catch 22 situation. I have so much to do in the garden that I should be out there now cutting the grass and weeding the borders in preparation for the garden party but if I dont get the Cam Chat's out to remind you all .... AGM 2000 - . The AGM is 8.00 pm Monday the 10th September at the Queens Veterinary School Hospital, University of Cambridge, Madingley Road, Cambridge. If you want to put an item on the AGM agenda you must let me know before 30th July 2000. You can send your agenda item by post, The Cambridge Veterinary School is on the A1303 Madingley Road. Look for the sign "University West Cambridge Site and Veterinary School" (not Veterinary Investigation Centre). Turn off the Madingley Road and take the first right. The visitors car park is a little way down on the right. Enter the building by the Main Entrance, turn right down the corridor, then left at the end. The Senior Common Room is at the end of the corridor. Millennium Committee - .This year there are vacancies for five committee members so if you have always wanted to be on the committee but did not want to ask, nows your chance. There are about six committee meetings a year and the committee take turns in hosting the meetings in their homes. The letter with your CamChat has the nomination slips and also explains the rules. On a different note, the running of the Club depends on the committee and if the places are not taken up it will put a lot of extra pressure on the remaining committee members. So make my day and lets have more people nominated than there are places. In the event of that happening an election will be held and ballot papers will be sent to all paid up members at the beginning of August for return before the AGM in September. Symposium - On Sunday 8th October Cam Cat are organising a Symposium to be held at the Queens Veterinary College Madingley. Tickets are £40.00 which includes teas, coffees and a 3 course meal. Why I mention it now is that last year we booked (and had to pay for) a large 69 seat coach and half the seats were not taken. So the feedback we get from members who will be wanting a seat on the coach this year will determine if its a small coach, a large coach or no coach at all.Diary Dates Sunday 9th July Garden Party this will start at 12.30 Tickets £4.00 from Susan Luvaglia 01354 655008. There will be a Buffet lunch, Bouncy Castle, organised games, a raffle (please bring a raffle prize) and an obedience demonstration given by the March Dog training Club. August - There is no meeting.
